Television Broadcast Listing
RFD is an acronym for Rural Free Delivery, and the channel, which is available on cable or via satellite, is focused on rural issues, as the name suggests. However it’s also one of the few television channels where rodeo fans can find coverage of their favorite sport.
Rodeo is under-represented on television. Supporting the businesses and individuals who sponsor rodeo and great rodeo programming can go a long way toward increasing interest and accessibility to the sport.
As of October 2013, RFD-TV was broadcasting more than 20 equine programs, some of which are directly related to rodeo. The following is a list of all of the channel's equine shows with a few details about those that may be of particular interest to rodeo enthusiasts:
- All American Cowgirl Chicks
The show presents a look into the lives of real rodeo cowgirls and how they struggle to make it in the male-dominated sport.

This program is hosted by Susie Dobbs and legendary announcer Hadley Barrett and focuses on stories from behind the rodeo scenes.

The National High School Rodeo Association (NHSRA) in partnership with Cinch Jeans and Shirts sponsors this show about talented young cowboys and cowgirls.

This weekly show is sponsored by The Women's Professional Rodeo Association (WPRA) and West Monroe, Louisiana-based Applebox Pictures and features the latest WPRA news and events, as well as pointers from and profiles of women’s professional rodeo athletes.

The Outdoor Channel, which also broadcasts rodeo- and bull riding-related programming and can also be found on DirecTV, Dish Network, and various other cable channels.
