How to Remove the Spare Tire from a 1992 Dodge Dakota

    • 1). Insert the handle for the factory-supplied jack into the hole in the center of the rear bumper. When the jack handle locks into place within the hole, turn it counterclockwise to lower the tire.

    • 2). Lower the tire to the ground and keep turning the jack handle until you have about 2 or 3 inches of slack in the cable.

    • 3). Grasp the "T" handle that runs through the center of the rim. Turn the handle sideways and feed it up through the center hole in the rim to free the tire.
