Top Destinations For Winter Sun
Another place that is great to visit is Khao San Road. The book 'The Beach' famously described Khao San Road as "the centre of the backpacking universe". For many years now, it has been the starting point for travellers visiting Asia and the rest of the world.
Khao San Road is a straight 1km long strip that spans only a couple of blocks are but has many hostels, internet cafes, restaurants, massage parlours, clubs, bars, bookshops, tailors, chemists, market stalls to name just a few of the things that are there. One thing you have to do this is visit the market stalls and haggle over the goods that they have for sale, there is everything from clothes, shoes, furniture music and jewellery and if you haggle well you can buy things for a fraction of the price you were originally quoted. With its carefree, anything-goes vibe it's quite unlike anywhere else in Bangkok and, probably, the world.
After leaving Bangkok the other essential place to visit is the beaches. They are some of the most famous and beautiful beaches in the world with an amazing quality of snorkelling and scuba diving. There are a wide range of beaches and if possible try to find one that is quiet and you will get to experience some really luxury.
If you are going to visit Thailand there are some essential items you need to take with you, a large back pack, a pair of black Havaianas (so it doesn't matter if they are dirty) and an open mind, if you've got all these you should have a great time.
